J's Mod Thread

Ok... I figured I'd start a thread for all the mods to my S so myself and everyone else could see the progression. I will use this post as a "catch up" to where I am now, and then post as I go on from here. So here we go!!

Purchased in Feb 08 - 25K miles

March of 08 - Fujita Intake and Lazyjet's Carbon Fiber Crossmember Cover - about 26K Miles

May 08 - OEM Rear Wing Spoiler, Rick's Smoked Sidemarkers, Team Voodo Shift knob (not pictured) - 28K Miles

June 08 - Window Tint - about 29K miles (not the best photo, but see below on other mods for a better full car shot)

July/Aug 08 - Body-matched Keyhole plugs & OEM Side Strakes - 31K miles

Thats where she is now... much more to come!!

nice progression. I was thinking about some tinted windows myself. Where you get yours done and do you recommend them?

I tinted my windows with Pete at TVP (Total Vehicle Preparation). Pete is the MAN. He is located in Morrisville... I'll put his info below. He does a lot of high-end work for Porsche/Audi doing clear bras and tint. He had my car done in about 30-45 mins while I watched. The tint is 18% and looks AWESOME... especially on a car with a black top. I highly, HIGHLY recommend it as I can leave personal items (my ipod, cellphone, camera, etc) on the seat and not worry about it as well as the sunlight it blocks makes a huge difference in the heat. I have black leather and before I was roasting. Now with the tint and some cheapo sun screens I bought at Target, it keeps it amazingly cool inside after the car sits in the sun for a while. Its still gonna be pretty warm with the sun baking down on the black soft top, but overall it makes a HUGE difference. Give Pete a call, he will take excellent care of you!

Installed my powdercoated AP2 V1 wheels last night and they look great. Another special thanks to Tom Davis at Carolina Custom Powder Coating. See my thread at: http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=24832

Installed my new exhaust on 9/15/08. It is a First Racing F1 dual stainless steel system. Sounds unbelievably. Very deep, with no rasp or buzz at all. I am very impressed. Will post audio clips when the weather is nicer.
