View Full Version : fender r&r method
ok multiple front fenders fall from the sky
all the fastners are easy to get to except one. this located near the passenger head lamp assy, consider standing in front of the car, it is on the right side or the inside edge of the assy. seems its between the fender/ bumper/ headlight.
do i need to remove the front bumper to get at this or can i access it after removing the plastic inner fender?
any thing odd about removing the front bumper?

I think I know which bolt you are talking about. You should be able to reach it by taking out the inner fender (or moving it out of the way). If you can't, and you have to take the front bumper off - there isn't much to it. When taking the bumper off you kind of have to tug on it by the headlights, it puts up somewhat of a fight.
Hope this helps.

-located a 2001 black fender from CAR-PARTS.COM, they had several to pick from. A local had a silver fender too. both fenders said to be in good condition+.
-HondaGhandi thnks the front bumper needs to be removed too?
-might start the project next week if i can free up some jack stands.
thanks!

Good luck with your project. I know how fun body work can be.
ok the new fender in an evening, all fastners are easy to get to and no need to remove the front bumper or head lamp.
kinda one bad:
a small bracket between the fender and the front bumper. the bracket is located most front edge, on the inside corner of the fender along the head lamp. two fastners on the bracket both are visiable and easy to get to but only remove the fastner to the fender, leave the other to keep the bracket attached to the bumper.
anyone need an oem side marker lamp, now have an extra off the old fender?
