CHANGED - DRIVE THIS SUNDAY, June 11th

We will be doing the Mt. Evans drive this Sunday and will be meeting at the Loaf and Jug off of 93rd, (our normal meeting place)

What: Drive
Where: To Mt. Evans, meet at Loaf and Jug off of 93rd.
When: June 11th, 11am.

Afterwards there a a good number of us going to Bandimere for import drags and a bikini contest, anyone is welcome to come.

We will be pushing the Bishop Castle drive back till July 2nd. Can people make that or should be push that back another week. I know there is alot of interest and I want to include as many people as possible. I know some of the northern guys would like to go on it, so lets make it work.

what is the route as my wife might come on this trip. she teaches in the am so i might be late or try and catch you maybe on the route some where.

How long of a drive is Bishop Castle? If we could do it on a Saturday instead of Sunday I might have a better chance of making it. With some notice, I can switch my work schedule and not go into work until 8:30 on Sat.

If I remember right the Bishop Castle Drive is a very long one. It seems like us Denver guys were on the road at 9am and didn't get back until a little after 4. This was with spending about an hour at the castle. Hopefully we can come up with a date soon.... If its on a saturday, chances are I won't be able to do a saturday. But with enough time in advance, I MIGHT be able to get a saturday off.

We will likely be out of town for the July 4th weekend.

My vote would be to put it off to another weekend since many people have family plans over the 4th.

what is the route and time. If my wife lita comes with me on this drive it is after she teaches. I will have to eather meet up with you on the road if you start early. I/we will not be going to bandimere.

We're meeting out at the L & J @ 11am. I'm going to suggest that we do the route in reverse of the last time we went. If that's the case, we will be heading west on I-70 to Evergreen Parkway where we'll exit and head to 103 (squaw pass). That will take us up to Mt. Evans.

The reason I was wanting to do the route in reverse is so we get the badly paved roads on the way up instead of the way down. That will leave nice smooth roads for our high speed trip down the mountian. What do you guys think?

I will most likely be late and will meet you on the road, as we will be leaving I-25 and yale at about 11 am. I will call Denver to find out where you are or if you have left the loaf and jug yet. It takes about 15-20 min. from their to I-70 and 6th ave.

Had a great time today, it was nice to finally meet Lita (Alan's wife). We did run into a good rain storm at Castle Rock, traffic came to a crawl, when a Mercedes stopped on the side of the road to put his top up. We were going so slow we had to put our top up. :sad: Always nice to get together with everyone for a good ride.

just when i thought that i had had enough fun with you hooligans. we always find something new and cool to do. great day today. i got so dizzy for being up that high. i could barely walk back to the car on my own power. thanks for seeing that i made it back to the car safely, monica! i know i will miss all of these wonderful people and beautiful views when i transfer. i just have to remind myself to enjoy these fleeting moments.
