View Full Version : Dyno Days 5-6-06
Ok so I know we have this event coming up next week. So is it still on? I havent heard anything. I want to do this. Anyways, I also have another question. A friend of mine wants to dyno his Intergra. Is it ok to have people not in the club go to this? So let us know ...Denver? Are you incharge of this event?
The dyno day is done by Matthews Automotive in Longmont, CO. It's open to all makes and models. The guys who work there are really great guys and I think everybody who has been to one of these so far has really enjoyed it.

Hey Boyd,
Tim is 100% correct on this on all accounts. this event is open to all vehicles, NO AWD VEHICLES though. Their dyno is only for rw and fw drive cars. They are great and it is up near John's house. I will try and make it up there to talk to Reese, one of the owners about a dedicated dyno day for us later this summer.
They also provide hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cokes, etc.
FYI, it is on a first come first serve basis and the summer months start to get crowded. If you have anymore specific questions just give them a ring and they will get you taken care of.
I will try and make it, won't dyno though since I did it last time.
Denver
Ok went to this dyno place. Service was great, people were great, and the shop was very clean. All good signs that this is a fine place to do are group dyno days at. So heres my numbers 213 hp @8535rpms, and 136.4 ft of torque @7605rpms. Looks like my 5 buck mods did help a bit.
So Denver lets talk about a day for all of us to go. Probly after Will gets his SC in the NSX. I talked to some of the people there too, guess its like 500 to rent for the day 250 for half day, and food and drink is included. We can talk about what we would like to do if we get enough interest. Things like dyno runs, quater mile runs, and tuning are things we need to find out if we want to do. I would like to do all of those, as I want to play around with my VAFC-II. So if you are interested let us know.

Those are great #'s Boyd, my '00 S2000 (stock) made 206 rwhp and 135 rwtq. NSX made 236 rwhp and 187 rwtq (also stock). My '93 1.6 liter Miata made a heart pounding 97 rwhp, I think torque was ~90 ft-lbs. All on a Dynojet.

Are you actually bragging about the 97rwhp. ;) I am surprised it even registered on the dyno.
Boyd - Yeah, I am sure there would be plenty of interest especially since we could probably get acouple NSX guys as well as maybe some lotus guys(I talked to them today about doing some joint events) We can chat tomorrow if you are going to be on the drive.
Take care
