Just thought I'd start a general recruit thread for all MH folks.
So post here about all the new S-folks that you may run across in your travels out there and let's see how many we can bring on board.

About 3-4 weeks ago, a fellow Longmonter just picked up his '00 black. His name is Vichhika.

Last night Monica and I ran into the smiling, proud, 1 week old owners of an '06 suzuka blue; Jim and Karen.

Needless to say, cards were passed out to both parties.

Well, I tried to give out some cards today. Tracy and I were doing some running around and decided to drive through this neighborhood to look at the houses for sale. We come to an intersection and just as I'm turning right someone behind us honks their horn. I look back and theres a Red AP1 pulling out of a drive way.

Without hesitation I pull over and open up the glove box to grab a card figuring this is my chance!!! :thumbsup:

The guy pulls up next to me and we're talking and I ask him if he belongs to any forums and he says yes........this one. :thumbdn:

It turns out the guy is Spaceman Spiff who just got back from overseas. He picked up a Red AP1 friday.

THATS 3 NFR's in this group now..........We're taking over!

But I did get to give one away.......but it might not count on a technicality.........we pull into a spot at Petsmart, Tracy gets, out and this guy in a Honda Odessey gets out and comes over to us. He asks if we belong to any local groups and we say yes................this guys starting to look familiar............turns out hes the guy that bought my dads GPW, and went on the drive with us a couple weeks ago. But he didnt know about this forum so I gave him a card......

When I got home tonight, there was a message from a guy in Fort Collins that just picked up a new '06 LBP S. He bought it from the same salesman that Nancy and I dealt with. I passed on info on the site(s) and look for him to join up shortly.

Silverstone or Sebring Silver? I'm pretty sure I know the lot you are talking about as I have seen her come in a few times just as I am walking by - never got the chance to talk to her though. Hey Boyd - do you remember where Wasatch Blvd and the road up to Little Cottonwood Canyon split in a "Y"? We called it the La Quai (SP?) cutoff because of the restaurant further down to the right. There are some brown condos right there in between the two roads after the split. That's where I lived.

Most mornings I would simply hop over our back fence and hitch-hike up to Snowbird. Man.....things were so different when I was 21. :) I was making $4.25 an hour but I did get to ski for free! Now that was cool! :cool:

To answer your question directly, s2kca is working on trying to get an active chapter going in the northeast, so I don't know if much is currently going. As many of the other guys have mentioned once you get down here we have a ton of stuff going on. I would check the northeast region boards every so often to see if there are other local people looking for drives, events, etc.

Ran into Ron, a 2-day old brand new leaser of an '06 NFR w/ hardtop. I've said it before and I'll say it again: damn, that's a nice color!

Then, in the same parking lot (gorcery shopping at Kings, go figure!), I came across Estes...again (we met several months ago, same place)! Estes is the proud owner of an '00 Berlina.

And now they're both owners of some shiny laminated cards.

Several times in the last few months, I have spotted a Rio Yellow Pearl parked near where I work - but never seemed to see the owner. Today my timing was "right" and I met the owner. Funny. :lahim: Nah, the S2000 is great, but I need more power, and modability. Everything for the S2000 is so expensive. You have to go boost to make more power, and the STI already has that.

I followed the guy who bought the 05 Silverstone that was at Markley's forever. He was at the bowling alley right across the street from my store on Horsetooth but I didn't have any cards on me. So then I left work at ended up behind him, followed him all the way to my house I25 and Hwy 14 and decided to let him go since I was on the bike and I didn't feel like going to Ault.

It's the second time I've seen him at the bowling alley so I'll get him one of these days.

for as long as i can remember people have been spying a berlina black s2000 in the dtc area. and today is the day that i solve that very mystery. i ran into the phantom s2000 on the way home from the collision shop. i got my car back and i was able to meet up with a new recruit. his name is aaron, he also went to school with Simon(kwando) and john(mirror). welcome aaron! btw he might be at the 13th drive!

I get it now. Silk uses his LBP to get new members since it's the "cool" new color. Then when he's around us he drives his old yellow one because he doesn't have to impress us. :moon:

I meant to post this last night but I was completely exhausted and too tired to do anything.

Well, yesterday I couldn't make it to Terry and Janeen's bbq as I had to fly video for a 4-way team; their #1 video guy had to go out of town and I'm the back-up.

Around my 3rd jump of the day, a '00 silverstone comes pulling into the DZ parking lot.
I motion it over to a spot next to mine, so we can get a picture, of course!
Out steps the owner and her boyfriend and I have the wonderful pleasure of meeting Julie and Ben who are both here to make a tandem skydive.

I told Julie about the club(which she was very excited about making some drives with) and handed her a card.

So, hopefully we'll see her here soon.

Spotted a black AP2 or AP1 with AP2 wheels. Berlina Black with a huge front mount. He was headed west on Hwy 14 at about 7:30. Also spotted a Silverstone headed south on Lemay and Hwy 14 at about 8:15.

so i was sitting on S2KCA like i always am. and i see the newest registered user was Wdlnd Prk S2000. so i PM'd the person asking if the name was Woodland Park near Colorado Springs. she PM'd me back and said yes she is in woodland park. so we exchanged phone numbers and now we have a new member in the Mile High and more specifically the Pikes Peak Crew is growing. her name is De'(pronounced Day.) :w00t:

I'll be there tomorrow. The "Cruise Above The Clouds" car show is there tomorrow then the show moves to Cripple Creek on Sunday. Not in the -S- this time just the 67 Mercury. If you feel like a nice drive (and yes the trees are already turning) and you enjoy classic car shows, come on up and say hi! Oh, and stop at the Donut Mill for breakfast - it's a well known stop for skiers on their way to the slopes who want to get their morning coffee and donut sugar dose.
