in many cultures there is a subculture. in our s2000 community there are military members amoung us. My roommate and i are both s2000 owners and active duty Navy. Chris will be leaving for Iraq on Sunday. he has had his s2000 for under 3 months. he will miss this one aspect of the life he leaves behind. he has great plans for his s2000 when he returns. i know i speak for the entire Mile High crew if not the entire s2kca, "Good Luck and God Speed." for those of you who know chris know that the Terrorist are in for some sh!t. i worry less for chris then the people that stand in his way. http://www.s2kca.com/photopost/data/500/4371AR15firing.gif

I don't get this whole military thing... First they station the Navy high up in the mountains, and now they send you guys to the desert? What is Rumsfeld smoking?

Thank you Silk for starting this wonderful thread for an absolutely great guy. He will be dearly missed by all of us while he is gone and will be in my prayers and his day returning will be one to look forward too and celebrate. Make sure to jack the miles up on his car while he is gone. ;) you know just warming up the engine. lol
In all seriousiness, be safe Chris and can't wait to see you on Saturday to give you a proper send off.
Your Friend and fellow S2k obsessor.

Chris,
Be safe man and I understand what you are going through (4th year in the Air Force). I am sure you will enjoy your tax free pay, with some going to the S. Take care.

Chris;
Never met ya', but know what you're going through. I quit after 24 years of Navy, didn't want to make it a career! Stay safe over there and come back safely. Be proud of what you do man!

It's a shame I wont be able to meet him. However I might pass him at the airport and hand him the torch.

As a retired Air Force person, I can only relate to the tasks of being over in the Desert. It truly SUCKS! I spent time during Desert Shield / Desert Storm for 6 months, 12 hrs a day, NO days off, and worst of all, NO ALCOHOL! :banghead:
Don't know if anything has changed since 15 years ago, but I wouldn't wish that ****hole on my worst enemy. Between the sand, the heat, and being in harms way, you can have it. I truly believe in our military, but the time has come to get the hell out of there NOW!
God Speed to you, stay safe and stay out of harms way if at all possible! All of you guys will always be in our prayers!
And your S2000 that will be in storage will be ready and waiting for your return! :thumbsup:
