Last Sat, the 18th, Chris took his AFF level 1 class in Longmont at Mile Hi Skydiving Center. He had a full day of ground school and followed that up with a successful level 1 skydive later that afternoon. His instructors, Brady and Josh, reported a perfect skydive with the exception of a couple of items for minor correction which Chris fixed right away. When he landed, he had a sh!t-eating grin from ear to ear! Cassandra, his girlfriend, did her first tandem skydive on the same plane load! She had a great time as well!

I値l try and get the photos that were shot that day to post here.

So, he passed with flying colors and is proceeding on to his L2 jump which is scheduled for this Thurs am. If the weather is warm enough (I知 such a ***** for cold weather), I値l jump with him and fly outside video. I値l post some pics after Thur (if I don稚 puss-out).

Oh yeah, I知 doing a half hour in the Sky Venture wind tunnel tomorrow with my good friend and fellow skydiver, Nick! -j

I always wanted to jump out of a perfectly good airplane, I'll get to it some day.
What was the temperature up there and at ground level that day?

Congrats! You've got more guts than me. Although, I think it would be a blast to do (once I took that first step)!

I've jumped in Deland, Lake Wales and Z-Hills.
For the most part, the weather's great down your way! As you know, it's always a toss-up between FL and AZ during the winter.

Just got back from the tunnel; some belly flying:

Ask any pilot and they'll tell you there's no such thing as a "perfecly good" airplane. That's why chutes were invented.

It was in the 40s on the ground and earlier in the day Sat, it was reported to be 10 below at altitude (12.5K AGL = 17.5K MSL).

Chris-
Good luck tomorrow, be safe, RELAX and have fun!

We need an S2K jump day to get as many S-whuffos in the air as possible!-j

It was great! I did 30 min in there. That's the equivalent of about 30 skydives.
As sore as I am today, I'm planning for more tunnel time soon!-j

Tunnel time is great for learning to fly really get a chance to feel things out plus you have a point of refrence to know if your falling straight down and you get to build muscel memory in the correct position. Also fun to work out 4way routines.
