I can definitely relate, as I had a very similar experience, but w/ motocross, Thanksgiving weekend '04. I came very close to not making it as well, but it motivated me to train hard and come back even faster!

She was like like "yea he is cute" and I go "does he look familiar??" She doesnt have a clue. And I am like "well you had dinner with the man".... Awesome moment. :)

Chris - I had no idea. I'm glad that your experience didn't change your love for riding/driving as it obviously hasn't changed yours or Denvers.

For you folks up there in Colorado you probably can't even imagine "fun twisties" in Texas. Get ready "y'all". The Texas Hill Country around San Antonio has some seriously fun roads (OK, insane) and there is no one that knows them better than Chris and he is the official drive coordinator for S2KDays.

Hey Chris,

I went to Camp Stewart for Boys for 11 years in Hunt, Tx and alot of my family still lives up in that area. Make sure to include StoneHenge, if you don't know it PM me and I will let you know where it is. would be nice to do some rafting in the quadalupe river as well. ;) fond memories of that and of course schillterbaun (spelling???) some freakin german word. lol Can't wait to see the routes and I look forward to meeting you as well.

Denver, I intend to have several routes, and I'll include Stonehenge on at least one of them. Hunt is a beautiful area, and I like to go that way headed back from the 337/Vanderpool area.

Schlitterbahn will likely only be open weekends if at all by then. It would be fun, but I expect most attendees will opt for twisty roads instead!
