s2000,
i am currently working on my NOT EVEN 2 MONTH OLD s2000. i bought "samantha" with 5.2 miles on the odometer and i reached 1000 miles in a month and a half. to most of you that is nothing special but for those of you who know me understand that this is an amazing feat within itself. it took me almost 7 months to reach that milestone in my 04 Rio, "Suzanne." since i am a temporary transplant to this state and all its devious road conditions i despise all the time and effort into putting Samantha back to her glorious condition. like many of you, especially denver, i am very anal about my vehicle. not many of you know this but on our drive with the NSX club i would not allow my date to get out of the vehicle for fear of getting dirt on my passenger side floor.
the world according to silk:
~it would be illegal to drive slow in the fast lane and if you did not get out of my way i should have every legal right to do a "PIT" maneuver to get you out of my way.
~the odometer should be able to decrease as you put it in reverse like the ferrari in Ferris Buellers day off.
~i hate that everyone assumes that all asian people are good at math. eventhough i am.
~i hate how i am always picked last in a pickup game of 5 on 5 basketball. but i always make them pay for not picking me first.
~i hate how everyone thinks i am from california just because i am asian and drive a honda.
~i hate that some people believe the Tennessee Titans "music city miracle" was bull sh!t.
~i hate how the Tennessee Titans lost the SuperBowl by 1 Yard.
~i hate how people think that country music was created by texas. MUSIC CITY is NASHVILLE, TN! the country music hall of fame is in... Tennessee.
~i hate that people don't realize if you take alaska and split it in half that both halves are still bigger than texas.
~i am jealous that TEXAS is the only state that gets to hold their flag as high as the American Flag.
~i hate that i have yet to drive my s2000 to/in/through Tennessee.
For my 30th Birthday in 2008 i plan on driving my s2000 cross country. i am currently saving up for this trip and would like to visit each and everyone of S2KCA's chapters. By then there should be more chapters to visit. Anyone that might be interested is more than welcomed. i think it would be an amazing road trip and something that is more unique than doing a rally.

I like your philosophy Silk, and when you do that road trip, you must stop by and visit us at the "Crossroads of America".
If you like to keep your S2000 super clean, you will have to meet WaltsS20003 here in Indiana!
I've got nothing against Texas, but I think I can relate just a little bit.
I hate how even though the Central Indiana Chapter was the first S2KCA chapter, the Lone Star Chapter is listed above us in the "Forums" drop down menu.

i i think it should be by chapter dates or alphabetical.
I was thinking you might suggest listing the chapters by elevation!
Actually, including the chapters in that drop down menu was suggested, and probably implemented by, some of our friends in Houston, so I'm not going to sweat it. ;)
:lol3: Everything about you Silk is Unique I mostly agree with the PIT maneuver

That it would be. I had planned a cross-country trip a few years ago (until a reorg at the office was announced and I moved to Houston instead) that I still have stacked away in the dark recesses of my mind. One of these days.
If you need some ideas of where to go and what to see along the way, check out this website (and buy the book, which contains a lot more detail):

Silk - you are ALL RIGHT, regardless what Denver says about you behind your back. :yikes: (J/K, of course)
My plan has been to take a 30day ride on my motorcycle the year I retire and visit all 48 contiguous states. This is my last year of work, so I may still do it this Fall. If not, it will most likely be next Spring. In any case - it would be neat to try and meet some of the other S2KCA folks along the way.

Silk - Thats awesome!! I love the world according to Silk. Definitely the part about the Asians being good at math, even though I am too.

Silk, No one can every say that you aren't yourself and that is why we love you so much. You are my dog.
Keep me posted on my body shop. They should take good care of you.
BTW, You can live on either side of Alaska after it is split in half. I still would rather live in Texas. Also, Texas can fly our flag the same height, because we were our own COUNTRY unlike tennessee. So deal with it. ;) Also, we are the only state that can succeed from the Union, so we should do it you say. Trust me I have thought about it. ;)
Always keeping it real, just like Silk. I want to be, I want to be, I want to be like Silk.  :rlaugh:

Denver~ no matter what you say the founding fathers of texas are sons of tennessee. Austin, Houston, you name it. :agree:

It's nice to have another TN boy on the forum...I was getting lonely......
well i can say the I am glad that "~the Tennessee Titans lost the SuperBowl by 1 Yard." anything to make Bud Adams life worst, But not as glad as when the Cowboys lose. I hate the idea that they are called "America's team" by whoever started it. Go Bears
I too am planning a cross country trip when I retire. Go west until I run out of road, turn right; head north, before I get to Canada, turn right; go east until i run out of road, turn right; go to Key West, make a u-turn and head home. ALL BACK ROADS
I agree with you about the Texas flag, this is true, "Texas can fly our flag the same height, because we were our own COUNTRY", but right now they are part of the USA, and I could say more but that gets into politics, which is a no no here. Do I hate Texas, No. I just don't agree with this.
I thought the chapters where listed by size.
"Silk - Thats awesome!! I love the world according to Silk" agree very good

Ha! well I guess I should "complain" more often!
Coop, I always heard that when it comes to size, it doesn't matter, so long as you have 5 or 6. Members that is, uh, to form a chapter. Ok, I better stop with the bad puns. :D

Reading comprehension is an important skill before posting. I said nothing about Texas, and Austin is the LMC b/c there's more of it here than anywhere else, and the quality you'll find on any given night is better than anywhere else.
Still have doubts? Check out the Austin Chronicle music listings. (http://www.austinchronicle.com/music)

I agree^ Plus it was Ferris' idea, I would say kicking the **** out of the car didn't work to well for Cameron but like kraemer says it liberated him. Nice try though Silk maybe you should watch the movie again  :lol3: :tounge2:
