You need more random pictures of your S in the middle of no where. :lol3: J/k you'll get lots of those when you go with us on the drives.
BTW - How did your S do on the trip?
Kyle
yea the windsheild has a big O'l circle crack in it from a rock, Silk.
The car was fantastic, it was way more comfitable than I'd expect, nosie was there from T1 exhaust, and I ran the entire trip with out the silincers. And on the note of running good, I dont understand when guys complain about this cars torque, but I guess when your at 5000ft and your used to the low torque and you go to sea lv the cars power is mind blowing. I am so happy with this car rigth now, and the power and the heads that she turn'd while I was in Texas make me love this car.

Boyd, Sweet pics bud. I had the same experience when I went to Texas, INSANE power difference. I was breaking the rear loose at every turn. WHAT A BLAST. I can't wait for s2kcadays in San Antonio.
Glad you got back safe.

Boyd,
I can't believe you drove all the way down here and didn't even let me know. :D J/K dude - what part of Texas is your brother in?
I feel for you high altitude folks on the lack of O2 for your S2Ks. However, when we're stuck with 100 degree days in the summer the heat soak we have to deal with sucks as well.
BTW - one thing I noticed when we had S2KDays '04 In Breck there was a big shift in the VTEC point at altitude. On an AP1 it seemed to be closer to 6300RPM than the 6K that I'm used to. You guys have more experience in this - is that normal up there? We were running out of Breck and up the passes so we were definitely up high.
Oh...on anither note...no mufflers revving through the Eisenhower Tunnel is crazy loud! (thanks for that Jason)

Great trip! When I got my MY05 last July I drove it from Flagstaff to Fort Worth and back. The power difference as I was descending form 7000 ft in Flag all the way to Texas was noticeable until I got a hot day (it was August) then it felt "normal" to me again.
Most notable expereince... watching a tornado form on the Texas/NM border near Clovis. I was less than half a mile from it with the top down! :yikes:
BTW I've noticed on that trip that in a mild rain shower that the air passing over the cabin at 60mph keep the rain out! My maps stayed high and dry while driving for over 30 minutes in a rain shower - the looks I got were priceless!!! :lol3:

Yea 110 does work pretty good, but the water coming over the side glass does get a little annoying. :lol3:

Well as for heat soak I no longer have that problem because of a mod to the throtle body. But you are right about the V-tec change over point. In Denver I see any where from 6k to 6500 when V-tec kicks in and I have a light that tells me whens its on and a Digital tach so I know the correct RPM's as the factory is a bit off. But as I go higher it does come on latter so this must be something the ECU does to make the car run cleaner? Dono for sure. All I know is that above 7000 ft this car is very slow, like so slow a stock GT mustang will beat it like a red-headed step child :banghead: Oh well I can still out turn him tho, that never goes away no matter what the altitude.
