Car show in Fountain Colorado [Archive] - S2000 Club of America Forums

I was reading the paper this morning (yes I can read). The Fountain Police Activities League is hosting a car and cycle show 10 am to 3 pm April 2 at Metcalf Park, 704 E. Ohio Ave. Staging begins at 7 am. In addition to the show, there will be commercial and food vendors, entertainment and a silent auction. Cars and motorcycles are welcome in the show. Pre-registration is $20 and due by Friday. Pre-registration includes a free car show T-shirt. Late registration and day of show registration is $25. Proceeds benefit the Fountain PAL. For more info in participating in the show, call Brandy Worster 719-382-8555. I believe this would be good exposure for the club. Is there any interest in participating??

i don't think i can make this one with my car. if chris is still here we can roll in his. i plan on having my car in the shop. i am having the front bumper repainted and side skirts painted/installed. :thumbsup: i see you got a pic of your car in the sig line! very nice! :agree:

Well I called and tried to talk to Brandy, and she is off until tomorrow at 4:00 pm (I guess she work nights). I will call back then and will post any updates tomorrow evening. I will try to find out how and where do we pay and how late can we show up for staging for the guys and gals way up north.If there is anything anyone would like me to ask please let me know and I will try to get you the information.

UPDATE!!!!
I spoke to Brandy today, she said as long as I e-mail her a copy of names of everyone who wants to commit to the show by Friday she'll allow us until the week before the show to pay our $20 registration fee. Also asked about late arrivals she said as long as they are on the list we can save a space between cars. There is also a make-up date in case of weather. Anymore questions let me know and I'll find out. Lets start getting a list together.

so i just looked up where Fountain is, and damn that sucks its so far south. I mean i was just driving by there last week, twice even! and im about to past the big 50,000 mark by the end of the week. So now I dont know weather to be happy or sad. Its a big moment in my cars life. :nervous: So I'll still be attending the event, but man ive had this thing 9 months and put 15,000miles on it.... :eek: .... But I have enjoyed every single one of those miles :D

I managed over 16K on my motorcycles last year plus another 6K on our previous S in just 5 months. We are close to 3K on the new S all ready. All SMILES!!! :) :) :)

Hey Rod,
Headed south on I-25 with the south being the bow it is on the starboard side (west) of I-25 and then you exit at county line like if you were going to Park Meadows mall. So take a right off the freeway heading west then your first right into the shopping area and it will be on the side of the main shopping area that is closest to the freeway. If you have any trouble just give me a ring. Sorry I missed you at Mines last weekend, didn't go down there till late Sunday night for a meeting. Hope ya'll had a good time.

No worries, you will have your wheels soon enough. Its hard to find any good looking wheels here in the state. Most of the time you won't be able to find the right offsets for front and rear (Since they should be different). Good luck to the both of you on your wheel search.

I'll probably go, but I'm not sure if I'll try to enter my car or not. I have some things pending that I need to resolve first... In addition, my S2000 is torn apart right now to get a new fuel pump, significant sound deadening, a second battery in the trunk, smaller a/r turbine housing, and hopefully to eliminate a rattle that has been driving me nuts.

Hey Rod,
Headed south on I-25 with the south being the bow it is on the starboard side (west) of I-25 and then you exit at county line like if you were going to Park Meadows mall. So take a right off the freeway heading west then your first right into the shopping area and it will be on the side of the main shopping area that is closest to the freeway. If you have any trouble just give me a ring. Sorry I missed you at Mines last weekend, didn't go down there till late Sunday night for a meeting. Hope ya'll had a good time.

UPDATE:
I just got a 9:00 am staging time for the car show on sunday. Now we just need to arrange a meeting place and we can all drive up together. I was thinking that just off of the highway at the over look for the Air Force Academy about 8:00am. If this is okay with everyone let me know.

Okay - let me understand the schedule:
Show at 10:00
Staging at 9:00
AFA overlook at 8:00
Park Meadows at 7:00

So far looks good - but why do we need an hour to make it from the AFA overlook to Fountain? About a half hour at most, IIRC. Terry? Whatchathink?

That might not be to far off Dad, theres construction on I-25, on the north end of the Springs, not that it would be slow at 8 AM, but it was kinda messy when we went threw.
We can use the extra 30 minutes to point out all the flaws in Silk's new paint job.....HAHAHA
