Ok guys,

Its getting close to time when I need to decide on some summer wheels. Unfortunatly I cant decide what finish would look best on NFR.

Should I go just Silver w/polished lip which always looks good? or should I go with Black w/polished lip which would go well because of the black soft top? :banghead: :banghead:

I'd show you the wheels I'm 99% sure I'm getting...........but I dont want to spoil it since there is absolutly NO OTHER S2K with these and I dont want everyone else grabbing them :nana: :nana: :nana:

Gimme you input, guys & gals

Of the two I'd say black with the polished lip. Silver always looks good, but only good they are never great looking IMHO. If it were me I'd go gold or bronze. I love gold wheels on red cars.

I go Silver w/ polished lip. There is not much shine on the s2000. The more shine the better, but I am old school.

I think black rims on a red car looks SICK. I would go with 18's as well.

Hey Brandon - were you planning on taking off your side 'S2000' emblems?

Good luck and I can't wait to see what you decide. I am probably going to get 18's eventually and use my powder coated 17's for track tires. That is a little way out.

Seems like I read that it will leave holes in the fender.

I like all black rims myself, without the chrome lip. But if I was going to go one way or the other, I would have to go with the black with the chrome lip. Good luck on your decision!!

Hey Rod,

Only the front and rear emblems leave holes. The side ones do not and are just stuck on with strong adhesive. I removed mine and it was a pain, but not very technical. just elbow grease.

Josh,
I know what ya mean by gold rims on a red car, I saw one on the other forum with gold Volks........looked great. Not big on the the bronze though (no offense) but depends on the wheel.

Denver,
I was thinking about taking them off, I read a "how to" thread on the other forum, just takes some fish line to cut through the adhesive and alot of elbow grease.. Was thinking about putting Rick's badges on the front and back.

It wont be 18x7 on the front...............these start at 18x7.5 then run 18x8, 18x8.5, 18x9.............I'm thinking 18x7.5 front, 18x9 rear, which will keep the stagger the same, but depends on the offsets.............the highest these come in is +55, so we'll see. :bgbounce:

This thread is where I got all my info........very informative
The offset wont be the same front and rear..............but you can get it close to the same in relation to the fenderwell.

We will have to snoop around more here as I'm sure there is one equally informative.

I just like the silver, however I did like the black wheels on the white s2k. Black wheels remind me of basketball players with black shoes just does not look cool.

:handshake I agree with that!!! Silver (or a variation of) is the way to go on red.

Personally I have black 18" Motegi wheels with the polished rim. Looks great on the GPW  , don't know how it would look on red. There are tire web sites that will let you change wheels on a picture of a car. You might look for one of them.
