It's been a great start to the Enchantment Drive touring southwest desert and mountain roads with wonderful people from all over the US and Canada.

A special thanks goes out to Coop and Cammie for all the hard work, planning and preparations.

So far we've enjoyed some great company, nice scenery, and wonderful mountain roads with very little traffic.

Thanks for the photos - I used to work in some of those areas and did a lot of mapping of some of the sites at Gila Cliff dwelling. Fantastic roads out there - If I'm not driving I'm practically barfing on the road to Gila. Not much fun if you're riding in the back of a Suburban trying to get there!:thumbup:

Today we covered many more miles on good roads and visited the Mining Museum and Acoma Pueblo (Sky City) near Grants NM.

Those damn elusive Plasti-Weaver Jumping Spiders have been making a comback this season. If my understanding of the species is correct, they wrap an area in their silk, which has been more closely attributed to the feel of cellophane or seran wrap, and they lay their eggs inside the enclosure. :devil:

We made it to Las Vegas last night; naturally, it took longer than expected due to heavy holiday traffic and I-40 construction. This week we enjoyed everyone's company very much; thank you all for driving to the wilds of New Mexico to participate. A final and special thanks to Coop and Cammy for coordinating and executing a wonderfully planned, flexible, and fun tour. I am really looking forward to doing it all over again in 2012.

Enjoy the rest of the drive and the Million Dollar Highway.

I would ask that everyone consider posting their good "people" pictures, much like Sean did. That way we all have something to "copy" and suppliment the pictures of friends we were not able to, or not talented enough to take.

I know of some great pictures already posted and I am sure there are others you are proud of, enough to post and share.

Hope everyone's 2011 is off to a great start!!!

Have been sitting here in the cold, waiting for the snow to begin (again), and thinking about the next time I can drive the "S". Decided to look over this thread and re-visit everyone's photos, and suddenly had an 'a-ha' moment.

Seems I sent the participants an e-mail with a link to where our photos could be found, but never put it on here :doh:

There are a bunch of 'em (three galleries worth)..... and pretty much a lot of what is already here..... but if you find yourself bored on a winter day with nothing else to do and are fighting S2000 winter withdrawal, you might like taking a look at what was positively the best week I've ever had with the car.... and that was shared with absolutely the best people on the planet.

I just realized the final route plan was e-mailed to the participants. Perhaps you should PM coop (or me s2kbobby) and request the e-mail be forwarded to you.
