Hi guys; my 2002 (30k mi.) has developed a squeak in the rag top window. Any ideas on how to eliminate it?? Thanks - Dave

Are you sure it's in the actual window itself and not in one of the many hinges in the soft top? Could it be wind noise? First you must figure out exactly where it's coming from before you can begin to affect a cure. Every couple of years, I'll go out and spray all the pivot points on the soft top with silicone spray as these are the most likely places to make a noise when operating the top and when the wind puts forces on the top and make the pivots and hinges move a tiny bit.
When stopped, try pushing on various parts of the window and the top to see if you can duplicate the problem. If it is the window, find out where it might overlap another part of the top and wipe the overlapping areas with a rag sprayed with silicone. If it's wind noise, you either have a hole or the seal between the side glass and the top is not tight. If this is the case, the rubber weather seal should be treated with silicone grease (not the same as the spray but will work temporarily). Beyond that, the window needs to be re-aligned to push harder against the rubber seal.
