By "low" beam, are you referring to the HID? You went and bought an HID bulb? Those things retail for nearly a couple hundred bucks (about $150.00 online). If you did indeed buy an HID bulb and put it in and it still doesn't work, then the chances are your ballast or ignitor or both is in need of replacement. Those also cost a couple hundred each. On the other hand, you could simply have a bad ground on that side.
What one usually does to diagnose these things is to take a known good part (like the working one on the other side and install it in the "bad" side and test. After you've checked the viability of the ground, you proceed with the swap. You've already done the bulb, so next would be the "controller" (some call it the ballast). It's the square box. Then the ignitor. Here's what they look like on an AP2:

On an AP1, the ballast and ignitor is one unit and costs about 300 bucks.

Thanks! I'll check the gorund on that side. Chandler and sons auto parts has the hid bulb for 62.00. They are in Herndon VA. I'll let you know what happens! Tom
