Hi I posted on here a while back about replacing this part due to a torn wire and crushed connetcor...

Well I've replace both the sensor and connector and I'm still getting this engine code. It only happen on cold startups when you hear the air pump kick in. Then the code stays on until I reset it.
This all started a little while after this sensor came off and one of the two connecting wires tore. It also damaged the vacuum lines which I've already replaced.
What could be causing this?
The autozone ticket says- Secondary Air Injection sysem incorrect flow detected.
Probable cause-
Air duct system fault
Possible exhaust leak
Faulty air solendoid valve
Faulty Air Pump Motor
Circuit relay defective or fuse open
Check connector and wiring
Air pump defective or hoses blocked.

A couple of things that come to mind. First, when that solenoid got ripped out, the wire may have gotten frayed further up from the visible part of the wiring loom. Sometimes, when you yank hard on a wire, you can break the wire threads somewhere else. Secondly, when you replaced the vacuum hoses, maybe you got them backwards. This will throw a CEL. Did you trace those lines step by step according to my picture thread? Finally, you may have gotten the white check valve backwards as well.

I have a feeling it's a vacuum hose problem... I've probably got something switched around. Do you have the link to your thread?
Thanks for your help again.

No, just do an advanced search for my username and "secondary air injection". That's how I'd find it myself.

Well it wasn't my vacuum lines... I followed your guide exactly. It's gotta be a problem with the wires...

That's going to be a very tedious task to trace those to where there might be a break. Hopefully, you won't have to go upstream more than about a foot or two.
You say you hear the airpump fire up on a cold start, but have you traced the hose lines from the pump to where it hooks up to the intake and from the pump to where it hooks up to the solenoid at the rear of the engine? It kinda looks like a little flying saucer.
You can see it at about the 1 o'clock position in this picture:

All the vacuum lines check out. Instead of using those crush electrical connectors I just soderred the wires together. If that doesn't work I'll go by the same guage wire and run it about a foot back. If that doesn't work I might just go a tad crazy...

IT'S FIXED!!! I'm just retarded and used .25" vacuum line the first time. It didn't seal well so it caused the cel. I just replaced all the vacuum lines with the proper size and now it works perfectly! I never thought this small of a problem could drive me this crazy.

The ends must to tight. The system has to hold vacuum and maintain vacuum over a period of time. The wrong size hose (too big) will let air in and hence, no vacuum. These hoses also tend to crack over time where they are connected and cause a leak. It doesn't take much. A cracked nipple in the vacuum can or solenoid will do the same.

Good to know I guess I should have tried to understand the system a little more
