Well I've replaced my plugs and my injectors and the car is still misfiring. When I swapped coil packs with my buddy it did nothing to help. I have this feeling that it may be something fuel related because when I turn the key I never seem to hear the pump run. Also the car is misfiring at idle (worse so than other times) and under acceleration at low rpms IE: starting out in first gear, but no noticeable misfire at +2500 rpms.

What mods are on the car? Do a compression test and a leak down.

What kind of plugs did you replace them with and did you check the gap before you put them in? Did you confirm that each plug actually worked? MAP sensor? Do the compression / leakdown, but your problem may be further up the food chain. Next, you should check the fuel pressure. The fuel pump can only be heard during the first few seconds after you key the ignition. Don't hit the starter button right away so you can hear it. Turn your stereo off. A running fuel pump may not mean it's putting out the right pressure. Next, is to check the valve adjustment. A faulty O2 sensor can also be a root cause. Your ECU may have also gone bad.
Something else I've been reminded of lately. Some people have gotten into the habit of tightening up the throttle cable too tight and it's actually pulling on the throttle plate even when the pedal is at rest. This can play havoc with the ECU.

are you even getting a check engine light?... if it's worse at idle maybe it's idle air sensor??

I dunno if that would cause all that trouble but... would explain why it's only happening then...

Right so, sorry I haven't been around. Busy at work. Here's an update:

She got diagnosed by the honda techs at Bryan honda here in fayetteville. What they said is that there was some water in the gas tank. So they were going to charge me 600 dollars to replace spark plugs and dry the tank.

I of course making about that much in like a year decided against it.

I happened to have a spare bottle of seafoam laying around though, and one of its uses is to eliminate moisture from gas tanks, so I ran a bottle into my tank and filled it with gas again. I drove about a mile down the road and all of the sudden......(building suspense) Nothing! Like in a good way, no misfire any more. She's idling great and turning on an off great. I have yet to test this too much but I'll let ya'll know how it goes tomorrow at work

WOW! 600 bucks to do a 50 buck sparkplug job and 5 bucks worth of gasline antifreeze. How's your faith in dealers now?
If you can get it, toss in a bottle of octane boost.

Big question: how did the water get in there?

has the car been stored over periods of time? or driven so infrequently so as to be filled with fuel less often......was it stored with the tank low or full?

Haha no the car has not been stored for a long period of time

I have NO idea how the water got there. Could be someone playing a REALLY bad prank...
