As of 1:39pm on March 29, here is the official plans for the Fresh Water Tour '04
***Thursdays Pre-event run will be detailed in another Thread Stickied at the top of this forum***
Friday June 4 Location: Holland, MI
Our Hotel:
Holiday Inn Express
Holland, MI
(616) 738-2800
-Friday will have much less structure than the other 2 days. The early part of the day will consist mostly of checking into the hotel, getting registration packets, meeting, greeting, and washing cars. We have arrangements with the local Honda dealership to keep their service bay open late for oil changes, valve adjustments, wheel alignment, etc. We also have either an outdoor bbq or a buffet dinner planned. After that, it will be pretty much up to you to decide what you want to do- hit the bars, catch a movie, use your token for a free drink in the bar at our hotel, etc, etc.
Saturday June 5 Locations: Holland, St. Joseph, MI
St. Joseph Hotel:
Clarion
St. Joseph, MI
(269) 983-7341
*8-11: wake up, recover from hangovers, eat your free breakfast at the hotel (they said it will be more than just bagels and juice)
*11-12: get into groups, prepare for group runs
*12-5: group runs on the lakeshore, through the vineyards, and on back roads. The people who win the raffle for a free dyno will all be in the same group and they will make the shop their first stop on their route. Everyone will be stopping at Crane's Pie Pantry (great restaurant- featured on the Food Channel several times) for yet another FREE meal. There will be stops planned along the way for gas, bathroom, and photo ops.
*5-6: Drive down to St. Joseph in several caravans (should be a sight to see all of the S2k's on the highway together). It is a short trip. When we get there, everyone can have time to drop their stuff off in their rooms.
*6-??: We will have tech sessions and presentations by various sponsors that you can attend. We will also have yet another free catered dinner. The city of St. Joes has offered to basically shut down downtown for us to park all of our cars and have a barbecue by the beach. Dinner will be followed by some scheduled activities (tech sessions, free install sessions, and all of the product giveaways), or you can go out on your own again. I'm sure we will be playing some of Hiro's DVD's from past S2000 runs in the hotel bar for everyone to watch while having a brew.
Sunday June 6, Locations: St. Joes, MI, South Bend, IN
*8-9: wake up, have breakfast
*9-9:30: Gather for the short trip to the Tire Rack's facility in South Bend, IN for our autocross. The Tire Rack has offered to give out prizes at the event. For those who do not wish to partake in the autocross, pack up, wash your car, take another quick drive, say your goodbyes.
*10-2: Tear up the Tire Rack's first rate autocross facility and collect your prizes. Have yet another free meal (do you see a pattern :D)
*2-??: Hang around for awhile, discuss how incredibly sweet the event was, and take off for home at your leisure
