Dave I switched out the red cover for the green one and it does help a little.I find what works for me is just shutting the gauge lights off.The switch under the dash works great.I can check my gauges from time to time or leave them on when highway driving but when driving the dark winding back country roads I prefer them totally off.I like to keep my dash lights really low.For me the dark cabin of the s2k is a great design for concentrating on the road.I think I have found the perfect solution for my taste. If I can find a safe way of connecting to the dash lights and dimmer it might be nice but switching them off is my first priority.
