Hello all... I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a leak from the clutch (plunger/ firewall)?? I noticed a few weeks back a (a-hem) "noise" when I depress the C/pdl. ONLY when it's depressed... (weird) so I figured w/ 50K I need some work done. Well... I guess I do. It dripps inside, down the pedal, onto the floor.
....anybody??? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like the clutch master cylinder. Here is a DIY on changing it out.

Also here is a DIY on bleeding the clutch http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=12154.
I am sure Dave will chime in.
Good luck.

Ditto. It's not a hard job but it is a PITA working upside down under the dash to pull the adjustable plunger rod from the pedal. I double checked my install to make sure that I got the safety and cruise control switches set properly after the swap

I have the same issue. Goes to the dealership on Tuesday to get it fixed.
Under warranty, thank God.

This is a fairly typical situation and perhaps is more common than people like to admit. I've done mine (which is how the DIY thread came about) and a buddy's S2000. We see this all the time. It's not always known what it is and usually begins with "something funny" going on with the clutch or the way shifting becomes very notchy or almost impossible. Next thing, you notice that you clutch fluid level has mysteriously gone down. THEN, people look at the top of the pedal and see the "wetness" from where the rod goes into the master cylinder.
Hydraulic clutch actuation isn't new, but a lot of people come from automatics or clutches that use a cable. As such, fluid maintenance is often overlooked. Most of us change brake fluid in the brake system but never consider the fluid in the clutch. This can lead to an unusual rate of leakage in the master or slave.
Just replace the master, change the fluid and do a proper bleed and you'll be back to normal.
