P1519

I pulled this code and its been going on for about a month now. the problem is that the idle will fluctuate from 1500-1800 real fast. It will only do this if i turn the car on in colder weather, say the morning or at night. when i start the car during the day it idles fine. when i start it in the morning, i can drive until i have 3 bars, restart the car and the problem is gone.

i read that this is probably an electrical problem but i dont see how that can be because i can get rid of the problem when i warm the car up. could this be a MAP problem as well? What are the steps for diagnosing the problem? i definitely dont want to replace a MAP, IAC or ECU without having to.

That code is for Idle Air Control Valve. You probably need to clean it or get a new one.

If you've read the code right, that's all it can be. The other things you mentioned have other codes, although it wouldn't be a bad idea to freshen up the MAP wiring harness and do the zip tie thing. Find my "How To" on the "MAP whack" thing.
Since this part is not fuel related but "air" related, you shouldn't use carb cleaner. Use WD-40 to clean and gentle air pressure to dry.

Can you tell if the IAC valve is ticking. A few of the earlier cars did this and got a warranty fix for it.
