Installing Upper Strut, Jack the car?

Should the car be jacked up prior to the install of the strut? Does it make a difference?:think:

Do you mean a strut tower brace? If so, then no need to jack it up. The weight of the car will keep the strut/shock/springs in place when you remove the nuts. Just do it on a level, even surface.
