Hey Dave

Have you run into this one? My top and my rf window are not working. I've done a visual and tactile check of the connectors under the console and below the rf dash panel. I've verified all the fuses (i think there were five in the cabin fuse box and two under the hood).

I'm just about ready to go through the continuity tests etc in the helms manual but I wondered if you or anyone else has run into this before. Might save me a bit of time isolating the problem.

Thanks

Just to eliminate the obvious ............... You've checked the passenger window lock switch on the driver's door, right? :p Your driver's window works, right? How about when you try to put the top down, does the driver's window go down?

- ebrake switch?
-speed compensator? (Yellow Box/Jacket) making the ECU think you're moving when you're not?)

Drivers window works fine. Checked the child safety window switch (got fooled by that once when I first bought the car). I can't tell if it works or not but either way the rf window doesn't move. I'm assuming it isn't a failure there as only the window wouldn't go up but there's continuity test for that in the helms manual.

Open to any suggestions... I'm leaving today for Cleveland for a little surgery. The top will be my first project when I get back. Have a friend staying here while I'm gone. Thought he'd like to run the car, but it's our rainy season so no top/window is a bad deal. :p ITop and window are in the down position.

Ebrake switch was my first thought connectors are OK but why would that knock out one window? I have a yellow jacket but I'm into an AEM not a stock ecu.

Thanks

Good luck with your surgery. Maybe by the time you get back, someone else may come up with something. At the moment, I can't think of anything else.

Get well soon Grant! :ipray:

Hi xv. :brew:

FWIW, my top also stopped working a few years back, and my shop just rewired underneath the cupholder to get it to work again. Seemed pretty "ghetto", but hey, it worked!

Just grabbing at straws here ........................
Is the right window up or down at the moment? Will it work using either of the door switches? (I'm thinking you might have to take the inner door panel off to check the harness. The top might not work if it senses that one of the windows aren't moving.)
You might want to go back under the console and double check the harness for proper seating. Unclip it and push it back in to make sure. If it's crooked or only one side is clicked, it might not be making full contact on all the connections. This happened to me once when I was messing around under the console and didn't fully click in both clips of the harness.

I had that happen just the other day. I have no idea how I bumped the child lock. I was worried, rain was immanent.

Thanks I'll reverify the connectors when I get home. They've delayed my surgery till Monday. Damn I hate suspense. Wish they'd just get it over with.
