I havent been able to drive my 2000 in a week and Im going through major withdrawal :)
I know this is a weak area, I have read all the other threads, I hate to beat a dead horse issue and post ANOTHER thread, but any help would be very very appreciated.....Ive had her at my local fix everything mechanic, a transmission shop, and the Honda dealer, but they cant find the problem, and short of tearing into and/or replacing everything they all say Im SOL.....I dont want to make what may be a minor issue worse, and I miss my baby!.....the details:
2004 with 30k miles on her, the last 6k put on by me, and I absolutely baby her, never abused for sure. Car was perfect when I got her, and I had the trans fluid changed with OEM oil. I also had the read fluid changed 300 miles ago, and the problem was there before and after that.
Clutch is very strong, and shifts smoothly. After driving for 30+ minutes, when I come to a stop for the first time, and before she cools down, starting from 1st gear there is (at worst) an AWFUL pop pop pop pop pop or (not as bad) grinding that comes from the rear. Once warmed up, even at best I can tell there is some very slight "slipping" or extra friction in the back, and maybe ~5% of the power isnt getting to from the engine to the rear wheels.
Any help would be appreciated :)
