Has anyone had rubbing with a 215/45/17 on the typical Volk CE28N fitment for the S2000 (7.5" x 17" 50+mm offset)?

I understand that a 225/45/17 can rub. I am thinking of running the BFG KDs.

Also, has anyone had and rubbing issues with the 255/40/17 on the 9.5" x 17" 63+mm offset?

Thanks for the information!

You should be fine with 225/45/17s up front and not rub, but to be on the safe side, 215/45/17s sound ideal. You are closer to stock stagger ratio that way assuming you are running 255s in the back.

You should be a-ok with running 255s on the CE28Ns. Lower away!

Lastly, I highly recommend you pick up a set of Bridgestone S-03s. Best street tires out there.

I am running 225/40 18 up front and don't rub with a +50 offset. You will be just fine...

Well said. I do think most guys with these wheels do run a 225 up front. I have a buddy on his second set of these wheels and thats what he runs. He is now dropped about 1 inch. Also, the size tire that you can run depends a bit on the tire manufacturer. Some brands have more square side walls and therefore, are more prone to rub. You should still be fine with the 225 though.

I run the 225's with no problems....car is lowered about 1-1.5" like GChambers says...
