Idle RPM

Dave, sorry to bother you with this real quick question, but.....
At idle (closed loop and all) or when normal operating temps have been met, the RPM's are supposed to stick around 1k right? I guess I'm just used to being around so many Honda's, where their idle is 750 +/- 50.
the S is usually stuck at 1000, and barely ever goes below that point. To me its normal, doesnt bother me at all, always starts up, never fails me.
I've spent some time in other S's but never really looked at the idle speed.
Little tidbit - 2006 w/ ~29k.... stock except for intake and exhaust.....

My MY02 has always idled at 900 RPM when at normal operating temperature so 1k sounds about right.

As per service manual ........................ 800 +/-50
Mine always sits at ~1000. I've never worried about it.

If you're FI with a stage 2 clutch 1000-1100 is more than welcome when you "cold" start and have to reverse out of the garage in the morning.
