Hey guys I have an 03 s2 that is completely stock(to my knowlegde) and at highway speeds it has a strange pull to the right and when I let out of the gas it pulls back left for a brief moment and then drives straight again. It only seems to pull at highway speeds. I have gotten under her and dont see anything broken, so as of right now I'm at a lose on what it could be. If anyone has had this problem before or know what might be causing it, I would really appericate the advice. Thanks for anything anyone can give me, I am getting kinda of fraustrated.

I would encourage you to check your tire pressures first. These cars are very sensitive to variations in pressure, especially in the rear.

I went out and checked tire pressures and they are 32PSI all four sides. I was reading something earlier today that side it could also be cause from uneven tire wear. I guess I need to get a tire depth gauge and check that out to. Any other ideas would be great and much appericated thanks in advance.

Assuming all tire pressures are even ..................
1. Are the tires stock? Aftermarket tires may need to be adjusted slightly for pressure depending upon sizes and speed rating.
2. You have some tire damage or rim damage on one or more of the corners.
3. You may have irregular wear patterns happening.
4. Check for foreign object (or puncture) in tread.
5. Check for odd deformations of sidewall or tread.
6. Do you have the proper size tires on the proper ends of the car?
7. Do you have the front rims on the front end of the car and the rear rims on the rear end of the car?
8. Check alignment.

Do you have a good tire pressur gage? I have found that a difference of 1-2 lbs between the left and right rear tires makes a difference in handling. The "stick" gage I had was accurate (that means consitant) to +/- 2-3 lbs each reading. Once I bought a dial type gauge that the manufacture claimed was accurate to +/- 0.2 lb I no longer feel taht "pull" on acceleration.

All the reason I have run across have been covered here.

Alright I guess my tire gauge was off a couple of pounds, so I went out and bought I new one and it seemed to be accurate. My passenger side rear was down about 3psi filled it up and now the car drives great. Thanks for all the help guys!!!!!!!

I have the same problem with my '00 model s2000. I checked the tire pressues and they were all good. It's a scary torque to the right on mine during hard acceleration and shifting.
