I guess it's a visual appeal. But carbon fiber, aluminum, etc aside. Has anyone measured the actual effects? I know you can't dyno it.

Are there actual air flow charts of how air enters the engine bay and directed?
Has anyone measured the air temperatures with and without one? Or the amount of air or pressure with and without one?

In theory, you're directing more air towards the stock air box. But with the gap in the hood, I'm not sure if there's already an air flow designed to enter the intake via this method - in which case the plate would just block all this air. Maybe the hood example is a little extreme, but that's what got me thinking on the realistic and the measurements.

I have one, not sure how much good it does, but it looks good.

It actually doesn't force air to the stock air box, but through the radiator.

I have one that actually fits over the horn of the factory air intake. I don't know if there is any positive effect, but it did seem to have a little less heat bog during the summer heat. That may have been all in my mind, but I felt a difference during the summer.

Anybody have the AUT cooling plate that directs air into the stock air filter box? Does it work?

All I have determined is my aluminum ASM gets in the way of the hood closing mechanism and I intend to cut a big section of it out to eliminate this problem.

That's the one I had on my 2005. See my post above yours...

judging from the responses, I guess the answer is no data :)
