I've never bought anything from them but I know that several local So Cal guys are very happy with them.
I've seen and heard their oval exhaust and was very impressed. I've ridden in a car with the single and found it way too loud for my tastes but to each his own.
I've traded emails and pm's several times with one of the owners, Duc (ahhhvtec on the "other board") and found him to be intelligent, and concerned about doing the right things for his customers.
Good luck.

I've had nothing but good results with all of my dealings with Duc. Maybe someone else is handling things poorly during the holiday season. It's not like Duc to be non-responsive.

I bought an exhaust from them. I was very pleased. They did forget to send me bolts with the exhaust but I gave them a call and they were on my doorstep the very next day. Good guys. Good product. Great service. I have the single canister style. It is quite loud but I have grown to love it. It really sounds amazing when blasting under a bridge at about 8000 rpm!:lol2:

Never bought stuff from 'em and probably never will, but I trust in their customer service.
However, I'm not too crazy about the look and quality of their exhausts. I hate to spread rumors, but customers have reported some rusting (source: s2ki.com). I'm not too crazy about the work/look of the piping. Looks cheap. And call me shallow, but I'm into the name brand bling. Aside from my wheels, people always ask me "dude, what kind of exhaust is that?"
"Oh, I bought it at Payless. Sweet stuff."
It also amaze me the lack of common sense in 90% of the dudes who put on the Spugen exhaust that point to dyno sheets as if the 3-5hp gain on a dyno done not even on the same day is a mark of victory. Pls.
Anyways, I'm not even the right person to talk because I'm not too crazy about the S2000 sound aftermarket or stock. I just decided to mod mine cuz it made the car just deep enough to fit the image.

Woah! Thanks for the support! Whew, I thought it was going to be worse when I first noticed you replied to this thread.
The rust thing, we had a bad run with our coating process through our sub but have corrected it. I also sent out two replacement sets for free.

Hello. An exhaust is made for Performance, and I think posting that in here dosen't really make or as you would say FIT THE IMAGE. We are all drivers here, I have a show car but I drive my car and my Exhaust is all about PERFORMANCE.... do you know what that is... And also for your information the 3-5 hp gains it was actually a little more then that.. how do I know you may ask" BEcause It was my car that was on the DYNO " I tested that exhaust on my car it sounded awesome. You picked the wrong company to flame on . They have many loyal customers and I dont think that would be possible if their products rusted, or didn't put out the gains what they say they put out. You should do a little more research before you speak.
1. And also if you hate spreading Rumors as you say then Don't you are contradicting yourself.
2. "'m not even the right person to talk because I'm not too crazy about the S2000 sound aftermarket or stock" - Get a new Car. or be a true enthusiast...
Just my 2 cents. why would you buy a car that your not happy with ... ?????:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

The lack of common sense. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT DUDE!!!!!!!!!!
"I just decided to mod mine cuz it made the car just deep enough to fit the image"
Fit the image of what? So what you are saying is, you modded your exhaust just to fit in. Right. Or am I wrong. And why make accusations that you have nothing to back it up. Lets finish this on the street bro.
You and your Tommy Hilfiger pants, pretty shoes and Turtleneck need to learn a thing or two before making assumptions about owners of the S2000.
WHY DON'T YOU SELL YOUR S2000, BECAUSE IT IS CLEAR TO ME THAT IT IS TO MUCH CAR FOR YOU, MR. YUPPY

no need to jump on the guy for his ignorance but my advice would be to just visit the shop since you're local or just give duc a call. Customer relations and excellent work is what they are known for. many people can and will vouch for the company. so if you wanna spend money on a brand name that's fine but for the enthusiast that is looking for performance and aesthetics, i'm perfectly satisfied w/ my application - 3" Turbo Cat-back system

That sounds like a good plan, oakfloor.
And please guys, we don't need to jump up anyone's keesters just because they don't share your opinion. Whatever disagreements you have with one another (and it sounds like you guys know each other from other places), please leave them at our door and be respectful about what you say to one another. No need to yell and scream at anyone because they like this or like that...and I personally saw nothing wrong with Ben's post about preferring stuff other than what Spugen makes. So just relax a bit, our forums are a happy place and all opinions are welcomed...just please, keep it respectful and we'll be cool.
Thanks...
:)

Dont waste ur breath Dooling. His superficial comments has already branded a big :loser: on his forehead.
EVERY company has its share of bumps in the road. Like ANY GOOD COMPANY would, Spugen stepped up by accepting responsibility and correcting the problem either by repair or a complete replacement.
I do business with Spugen and have nothing but praise for the company and its staff.

I had great results with Spugen, speedy delivery, and good aftermarket support. Currently, I have their dual stainless catback exhaust, retail $560, I'm selling in new condition (less than 1k miles) for $300... The wife says it's too loud!

What about this rusting issue, though? I love the price of the Spugen exhaust but I am not about to have it turning orange on me!

Mine has been on my car for about 2 years now. The only rust on the exhaust is where it comes under the rear axle. It is my fault. I had the car too low and the exhaust scraped the ground more than a few times. Don't worry about buying from Spugen. They are good guys.
