Bonsoir Dave,
I would appreciate to have your advice,on the following,as you have always been very knowledgeable, and wise, about, ways to improve the work of our little "Hamsters"...:) :)

I'm looking into the Ultimate E-Manage to get my little Hamsters to deliver a little more performance...

I have a stock AP-1,and I do not want to go F.I. (want to keep it reliable, simple, and affordable $$$...)

Heard and read thay an E-Manage Ultimate,on a pretty stock AP-1,could add +/-15 RWHP..

Mine is stock, with the addition of a Comptech catback,Megan high flow cat, (..read test pipe...:) ),JR filter, and Rick's 4.57 gears...

What is your advice???
Do you think,it's worth the money,(+/-$1200.00,installed and tuned..)

Im planning to have it installed,by GilbertG,this summer,at the 2008 Nor'Easter.
Thanks for your answer, and have a very Happy Holiday Season...

-Emil.

I can't really comment on the value of ~15 whp for $1200.00. Only you can decide for yourself if that is a good investment. However, with the kinds of mods you have, a proper tune with such a device might be in order anyway. You will likely find the car running stronger and more smoothly afterwards. It'll make all the mods work together better.
I believe I've met Gilbert on Fall Colors some years ago. He seems to know what he's doing.
N'Or Easter, you say? I happen to have most of next August off and I'm debating whether or not I should come in my car. I have the time, but I'm just not sure if I want to drive that far. Then there's S2K Days a couple of months later, which I will be coming to with some certainty. Hard to justify 2 big meets so close together.

If you do end up going with the E-Manage, I'd check this kit: http://ballisticmotorsports.org/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1192936432

Thanks Dave.

I understand,you can't comment,on the value,vs,h.p. increase...

My question, was more in the sense of: Do you really think,it can make +/-15 H.P.and wake up my Hampsters???...and make the car more enjoyable (fun...) to drive ???

I know for a fact, that AP-1 are running on the rich side of the spectrum...

As far as Summer '08 meets,I will surely attend the Nor'Easter mid-August,and Lke Georges, late September.

Looking forward to meet you again...

Since I'm supercharged, I've never actually tuned the car when NA, so I can't give you any personal experience with this. However, we both have common understanding about the engine running on the rich side and leaning it out would most certainly pull out some more HP. Whether or not it will achieve 15 hp is dependent upon how your car is presently running. Some have indicated that an intake and exhaust has a tendency of leaning out the engine a bit anyway, so you may have already felt some benefits from your current mods, in which case, further refinement may not produce the type of gains emanage would claim.
Personally, if it were me, I would definately get a dyno before doing anything to see just how strong your car is now, with everything you've done to it. From this, you can then decide if there is even any room for the A/F to be altered and at what rpm this needs doing.
