Ingalls Torque Dampener

I just installed the new Ingalls Torque Dampener into my S2000.

I have not taken it for any performance runs yet but I wanted to get this posted right away because this is the easiest install of any torque dampener that I've seen. Not counting painting the brackets, it took 15 minutes to get it done. That's nice.

I also want to put in a very good word for Todd at Ingalls. I got taken on eBay by a guy selling the Stiffy for the S2000 only to find out that it was bracketed for an RXS. The guy turned his back on me. When I called to see if I could buy only the S2000 brackets, Todd told me to send all that I got into him so that he could inspect it. If everything was okay, he'd replace the RSX parts and he did so only for the cost of postage.

Now that is customer service. No, that's great customer service.

Harry, only if you are a "gold member" over there, will you be allowed to link outside of that forum's photo album. I've got the same problem. I'd rather spend my 20 bucks next time on something like Webshots, where I can link my photos to anywhere.
For people to see you photos, they should open up a new tab or window (with the other forum opened), right click on each red "X", go to "properties", copy the URL and paste it into the address bar of the new tab/window and hit "enter". Once you've viewed all the photos in this manner, they will miraculously appear in this thread.

Just curious, from the driver's seat, do you observe any influence from this damper?

Hi Dave,

There is a little more engine noise transmitted to the cabin with the hardtop mounted. There is not much difference when up-shifting. However, downshifts/rev-matching are much more precise because of the accuracy of the feedback from the motor/trans. I did not expect that and like it a lot.
