I've been told to put vaseline on the seals and that will help seal them...of course, I have never done this and continue to put up with the noise...
Dave, is there anything to putting vaseling on the seal around the windshield where the top comes together?

Honda has a special lubricant called shin etsu grease for the seals.

If it's an earlier model, you may benefit from installing the newer hardtop windshield strikers. Hardtopguy sells these specifically for older cars where the strikers have worn down to the point where the soft top doesn't pull down onto the windshield seal as tightly as it used to. If you've already got the HT strikers, then try the suggestion about greasing up the seal. If that doesn't work, then new strikers may be in order anyway.
A final suggestion (before going out and buying new strikers) would be to install tiny lengths of clear tubing (like aquarium air tubing) onto the hooks of the top latches. The tubing must be snug. This will help the latches pull harder on the strikers.

Just as you wouldn't use it on a condom because it degrades the latex rubber, it can also degrade the rubber in the windshield seal. It's best to use a rubber safe silicone based grease or spray.
Honda has a special lubricant called shin etsu grease for the seals. This is the best suggestion. The Honda stuff is quite expensive but it goes a long way and will last the average owner for years. It can be used on other cars, too. Where Vaseline will just sit on top of the rubber and very slowly work its way in, Silicone grease will absorb into the rubber quite quickly where it will protect the rubber and fill in the pores.
If the Honda grease isn't to your liking, almost every car manufacturer sells a silicone treatment for window seals. Personally, I use the GM Silicone Emulsion just because it's handy to get and it comes with its own little "shoe polish" applicator.
In a pinch, you can even use Silicone spray on a clean rag and wipe all the seals that way. This doesn't last as long but will provide some immediate relief.
