I am going to replace the rear shocks on my MY00. I would like to keep the car stock. I dont want to lower the car. I was looking at the KONI shocks but I am not sure if they will lower the car. I have seen that there are multiple hight settings for them. Would I be better off just getting the OEM's or do you feel that the KONI's would be a good upgrade?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also is there any discriptions with some pics on doing this yourself?

Thanks.

I would change all 4 as the vintage of the fronts and new rears might cause some nasty handling issues. And I would use 4of the same brand as well for the same reason.

Go with Konis and replace all 4. You have a choice of stock ride height or lowered when you install them.

There are 2 circlip mounting locations on the Konis, either stock or about 3/4" lower. Replacing the shocks is pretty straight forward if you have spring compressors. On the fronts, its easiest to remove the assemblies if you unbolt the UCA. On the rear, the main issue is getting the gas filler neck out of the way. Otherwise its definetely something you can accomplish on a saturday afternoon.

I saw a description on S2Ki and it didn't look to bad. The only question was they looked like it was VERY hard to install the rears. They had one guy standing on the hub! Another was lining up the bottom bolt. Is this a problem? I don't think that my better half is going to do that.
And what is the UCA?

Thanks.
