I was planning on having the Hondata IMG installed on my 06' and while the intake is off thought about purchasing an aircharger ( I'm not into having parts cut or worrying about water issues). I know intakes are almost insignificant gains but I thought it might improve throttle response.Am I wasting my money on both the IMG and the Aircharger. Thanks John

The Intake Mani gasket is definetely worth it IMO, it does a very good job of reducing IAT's, which is helpful in producing power. I know nothing about the design of the K&N charger, so I really cant speak to that part, but if its drawing air from anywhere in the engine compartment, I have a hard time believing it will be any better than the stock airbox. If its a true CAI and takes air from outside the engine area then maybe it will be worth a couple ponies.

Sometimes, on very hot, summer, city driving days, I wish I had the Hondata gasket installed. The temps in the intake air can get as high as 70*C during stop and go traffic (and I've got an intercooler). Unfortunately, I must drive my car throughout the very cold winter months as well, so this mod would not be so good for me. Putting one on is quite a task, I've heard.
If I ever had the intake manifold off for any reason, I would seriously consider wrapping the whole thing in some sort of insulation before putting it back on.
As for the K&N, I've always been a fan of these things. You're thinking about the FIPK kit, right? I like to have a re-usable filter and one that flows better air.
PS. I've never heard of Calton Cases. Sorry, I guess one has to be into guitars to know about this stuff. :o
