Just wanted to post a bit of info regarding a problem I had with my S2000 at 18000 miles. The car had developed a rattle that I thought was coming from under the dash. After three visits (where the deal merely added foam padding/insulation under the dash and "tightened screws") with the noise progressively getting worse, they found a service bulletin and now I have a new clutch disk. The new one is in fact a redesign and does overall improve shifting performance. Anyway, 5000 miles later the problem has not returned. So, if think that rattle you hear is just bits loosening under the dash, have you service person check it out.
