I tried a search on this but no hit.
I am getting a 4.56 from HT guy on a swap. The dealer who is to install the unit has quoted a high price for labor. Does anyone here have a manual that gives the flat rate labor hours to R&R the unit?

Thanks.

Ask HTG, he knows what the flat labor is. What is your dealer asking for the job? 250 should be about right. I personally can do it in an hour, but than again, I have done it far too many times.

HT Guy told me what the warranty labor is but the flat rate for customers will be higher. I know because i ran a service department many years ago. Most mechanics complain that warranty labor is too little.

HT said 1.6 hours warranty. I had thought 200 to 250 would be reasonable but the dealer is quoting higher. He is saying 350 to 400.

That seems excessive. Like Stratocaster said, you can do it in about an hour once you're proficient at it and have all the tools on hand. I could probably do it in about 2 to 2.5 hrs laying on my back. You're just taking one out of the car and putting another one back in. It's not like you're asking them to take the diff apart. Maybe try a smaller, auto mechanics shop. You can even print off the How To and give it to them.

From what Alldata says it claims 1.6 hours for warranty, and 2.1 for normal. If its 100 bucks and hour you do the math. sounds to me if your paying more than 300 when they include tax, and shop towel fees you are getting ripped off

I did one in 1.5 hours once but I was running my ass off to get it done. It usually takes me 3 hours even with help.
