A good friend of mine just got a job at a local Honda dealership and has subsequently given me a pretty good offer on an 07. The two things I am concerned about are: The drive by wire system impeding track performance and the stability control. My plans for the car involve track/autocross/snow driving and Im going to shoot for 450whp turbo set up. You rock btw!

u can turn off the stability control on the dash. They moved the defrost button to the center and added the SRS button behind the steering wheel.

This should only be a concern from MY2006.

It would seem that professional drivers tend to comment that they can make a car perform better when driving aids such as VSS and TC are turned off. However, for anyone less than a "pro", these technologies may actually be an advantage on the track. It all depends on how good you really are. Needless to say, these aids will be quite useful in snow driving, unless again, you are a "pro" snow track driver, in which case, you could push the car further into its "envelope" than what the aids would allow.
Turbocharging the engine, whether it have DBW or not, shouldn't be any more complicated than it already is. I think if you can turbo a non-DBW S, you can do the same to a DBW S.

Even F1 drivers use driving aids to the extent they're allowed (or can get away w/). All else being equal, I'd always opt for the car w/ (defeatable) stability control.
As for DBW, it's all about the implementation, as it can be better or worse than a cable. I love the DBW in my CS, it's cool having "sport" and "normal" programs to adjust to your mood/driving conditions.

Ok test drove the 07 last night here are my thoughts...
+ Headrests that work!
+Speakers in roll hoops make a HUGE difference!
+Cubby hole in the passenger side dash! (had no clue)
+Brakes are badass
+/- Compared to MY05 the acceleration was lacking at best, I spoke with one of the Honda Tech guys and he said "the car's DBW system has to learn how you drive and then it will tailor itself to your driving style" Sounds badass after the system "learns how you drive."

Those are some of the thoughts I had when I went from an 05 to an 06.
Was the 07 brand new? I remember when my 06 was done with the break in period. It didn't seem to pull like my 05, but as time went on, either I learned how to drive better or it broke in more or something because it really pulls now. I doubt it pulls any harder than my 05, but it definitely pulls as hard.

Really ??? I can hardly hear them at all and when I set the fade to the back so I can hear them it lowers the volume on the front so much that the fronts now sound like crap.
After reading your comment that the roll hoop speakers actually make a difference, I think I will go to the dealer tomorrow and sit in another S and try the radio.
Basically, the S2000 has no radio in my opinion. Which is fine because that 4cyl makes nice music.
