Can more power be achieved by increasing redline- lets say to 9200 rpm on a stock comptech supercharged Ap1? Because boost is strongest near the upper limit of rpms-factory that is would'nt there be an extended kick in power at a few hundred more revs? XViper can you help with this Question?

That's only an increase of about 200 rpm (if that, since the fuel cut is pretty close to that anyway). Even if you could get another 200 rpm before the fuel cut, with a supercharged car, those 200 rpm would be imperceptible. If you really want a good kick, find another 1000 rpm. To do that, you'd need a beefed up top end and a new ECU.

:agree:
You will need to upgrade your valve springs, seats and retainers.

"Ultimate Lurker" from Torrence, California, modified his AP1 to safely rev up to 10,000 rpm. He always promised to post about what exactly he did, but never did before he got pissed off at some of the people in the "other" forum. Too bad, that info would be quite interesting.

I’m unsure as to how much abuse the stock valvetrain can take... rev limit is @ 9k. like somebody stated above: retainers, valves, and springs, are your friends… as for what kind, I haven’t the slightest idea. I’ll tell you if I do some research. And, who told you you’ll make power over 9k?

We are already past our peak HP at 9,000. I think any more would not increase our HP output.
