basically, put on a test pipe with a CEL fix and still had a CEL shown. the ap1 vs ap2 have different secondary o2 simulator part #'s. my 07 has a different part # than both of those.

1. will 2 simulators work? ie) for anti-fouler plugs?
2. is the secondary o2 reading based on the ecu? or more on the sensor? for example, does the o2 sensor dictate the ecu or vice versa? i ask because: will an ap1 secondary o2 sensor solve my problem?

Thanks in advance.

It has been noted that trying to "trick" the ECU into thinking you still have a cat on the current gen S2000 ('06, '07) is much more difficult as the ECU is more sensitive to sensor readings. Some have reported the non-foulers work while other have reported it doesn't. You may require an electronic sim.
The ECU uses the O2 sensor to monitor cat function and integrity. In the short term, the ECU doesn't use the secondary O2 sensor readings to operate the engine, however, in the long term, it will make slight adjustments to fuel trim and possibly even to timing to compensate for what it thinks is a cat going bad.
How many non-foulers are you using? Most use 2. While the first one that the sensor screws into is drilled out to make the probe fit, the second one that screws into the t.pipe is left alone.

I figured... i haven't come up on threads with any with an 05+ with a testpipe. i have the berks test pipe with the built in cel fix. i plan to add another cel fix (2 anti-foulers). but not sure if it will even help.

The Berk t.pipe has been shown to NOT work on some S2000, even AP1's. It is of a poor design because the extension for the O2 points in line against the flow of exhaust. The exhaust shoots right up the extension and hits the sensor tip. You may still need to add 2 non-foulers modified like I indicated before.
