Heres the deal....I got (4) 225-35-18's toyo proxes T1-R's tires but no rims to put them on.I recently got my S2K and was thinking of get rims that would fit those tires. I don't go to the track yet, and like the look of 18's, do you think these rims are worth it? i'll still have to get 255's for the rear.

Ebay.com Item number: 260073051752

they are 18" that have the following specs.

Bolt pattern : 5x114.3

Size : 18x8 Front & 18x9.5 Rear (WIDE LOOK)

Offset : 48mm Front & 48mm Rear

Lip Size : 2"F & 3"R

Finish : Hyper Black w/silver polish lip

Quantity : 4 Wheels

Weight : 28 lbs

for $929 shipped

Would these be to heavy?

well its definitely heavier than the stock rims:

Front rim = 17.5 lbs. each
Rear rim = 18.6 lbs. each

28lbs is on the high average for 18s... but theres definitely better weights out there.

also: you might want to check that auction again... the number u have shows that the rims are hyper SILVER with silver lip, not black like in your post. make sure you are ok with the all silver rims before u buy.

If your looking for aftermarket wheels just for the bling factor and no performance charactoristics then these should be ok. These wheels are definatly on the heavy side adding approx. 10 lbs to each corner which will change your braking/cornering.
Also, if your lowered, or plan to lower your S than you may end up having to roll the fenders and/or adjusting the camber.

If I was you, I'd just wait till you save about $1500 and then buy some that fit a little better and are a little lighter. Check out www.tirerack.com for a pretty good assortment of wheels in every price range. You'll have peace of mind knowing these wheel fit right.

If you really like them, get 'em. Those will work unless your car is extremely lowered. You'll be adding about 10 lbs. unsprung weight on each corner. This "might" make your car feel a little sluggish on the "get go", but I'm sure that in time, you'll get used to it and won't notice.

Thanks for the feedback guys, looked at the tire rack website and I don't think these ebay rims are a good idea. I just liked the deep dish look.

I dont know if you saw these, but if you like the deep dish look, Tire rack has the Kazera KZ-F in 18's very reasonably priced. The weight isnt to bad about 5 lbs more a corner.

Those Kazera KZ-F in 18's are nice but I don't want black spokes and I can't seem to find any other colors. Gunmetal spokes would be sweet.
