If Dave doesn't mind, I'd like to start a thread in this section that can be used as a "quick look up" for torque specs on widely worked on bolts, lugs, nuts, etc.

I'll use this first post as a place-setter. I'm running off to a meeting now, but can/will get started once I get back to my desk.

Wheels (lug nut torque)

As recommended by Helm's manual for stock wheels:
80 ft/lbs

What I use on my MF10's with open ended lug nuts (and lugs coated with anti-seize):
92 ft/lbs

Strut mounts (top and bottom)

Top stay bolts: 36 ft/lbs
Lower control arm bolt (with preload): 47 ft/lbs

Oil drain and fill bolts

Motor oil drain bolt: 30ft/lbs
Diff fluid drain bolt: 30ft/lbs
Diff fluid fill bolt: 30ft/lbs
Trans oil drain bolt: 30ft/lbs
Trans oil fill bolt: 30ft/lbs

**This is off the top of my head, I'll check these specs against the Helm manual tonight

I think my manual has the fill bolts at 29 ft/lbs and the drain bolts at 33 ft/lbs.

Nope...for the MF10's with Mugen lugs, it should be between 80 ft/lbs to 85 ft/lbs.

However, I've noticed with the open ended lugs nuts that when I torque them down to 80 ft/lbs, it only take a little over 70 ft/lbs to loosen them (that is right after they are tightened; not driven on). To get the open ended lug nuts to loosen with 80ft/lbs of torque, I need to tighten them to 92 ft/lbs.

For 00-03 S2000's (I don't think they have changed for later models, but I don't have access to the info.)

Oil Drain Bolt Service Manual = 29/lbs Owners Manual = 33/lbs
Engine Oil Filter (15400-PCX-004) Service Manual 16/lbs or 7/8ths of a turn
Diff Fluid Drain bolt Service Manual = 33/lbs
Diff Fluid Fill bolt Service Manual = 33/lbs
Trans Drain bolt = Service Manual = 29/lbs
Trans Fill bolt = Service Manual 33/lbs
